Stihl HSA 40 Cordless Hedgetrimmer

Elevate your garden aesthetics with the STIHL HSA 40, a cordless hedge trimmer that defies the “entry-level” label with its professional-grade finish and surgical precision. Weighing in at a remarkably light 2.1 kg, the HSA 40 is engineered for the homeowner who values effortless maneuverability over brute force. While most domestic trimmers use stamped blades, the HSA 40 features laser-cut, diamond-ground, and hardened edges that slice through annual growth with a clean, “plant-healthy” cut that promotes faster recovery and greener hedges. Powered by the modular AS 2 Battery System, this trimmer offers a 25% power boost over the smaller HSA 30, ensuring you have the torque needed for thicker stems without the deafening roar of a petrol engine. It is the whisper-quiet, vibration-free solution for anyone looking to turn hedge maintenance from a back-breaking chore into a creative art form.

• Optimized 50cm Dual-Sided Blade Geometry: Unlike many competitors in the 10V class, the HSA 40 features an extended 50cm bar with a specialized tooth pitch designed to “trap” and hold branches, preventing them from slipping out during the stroke.

• Intelligent Battery Energy Pulse: The HSA 40 is programmed with smart power management that ensures consistent cutting speed until the very last second of battery life—no “tapering off” or stalling as the charge drops.

• Screw-On “Wall-Safe” Tip Protector: Standard on the HSA 40, this reinforced guide guard allows you to trim right up against brickwork or stone paths without damaging the blades, a feature usually reserved for much more expensive professional models.

• Symmetrical Two-Hand Switching: Designed for total inclusivity, the trigger system is perfectly symmetrical, making it just as comfortable and safe for left-handed users as it is for right-handed ones.

• Integrated Rear Hanging Eyelet: Built directly into the handle molding, this dedicated storage point allows you to hang the tool vertically in your shed, saving valuable floor space and protecting the blades from moisture.

• “Soft-Grip” Vibration Dampening: The handle surfaces are coated in a high-friction, shock-absorbing polymer that neutralizes the high-frequency vibrations from the motor, allowing for extended use without “tingling” hands.

• Dual AS 2 Battery Bundle Option: sold in a high-value set including two AS 2 batteries, giving you a total runtime of up to 80 minutes—enough to tackle approximately 160m² of hedge in a single session.
