Stihl HTA 30 Cordless Pruner Set

The STIHL HTA 30 is the first dedicated pole pruner to join the ultra-compact AS 2 battery ecosystem, effectively ending the era of precarious ladder work for domestic garden maintenance. While other pole saws are often top-heavy and exhausting, the HTA 30 is a “featherweight” specialist, weighing just 3.6 kg (including battery). It features a high-stability, infinitely adjustable telescopic shaft that glides from 1.9 m to 2.8 m, granting you a safe working reach of up to 4.5 metres while keeping both feet firmly on the turf. This isn’t just a long-reach tool; it’s a precision instrument featuring an automatic spring-loaded chain tensioner—a unique innovation that ensures your 1/4″ PM3 saw chain is always at the perfect tension with a simple flick of the sprocket cover handle. For Irish homeowners who already own the GTA 26 garden pruner or HSA 26 shears, the HTA 30 Set is the final piece of the puzzle, delivering professional-grade thinning and deadwood removal in a whisper-quiet, zero-emission package.

• “RightTight” Automatic Tensioning: A feature usually reserved for premium saws; the HTA 30 automatically adjusts the chain tension when you close the sprocket cover. No tools, no guessing, and zero downtime during your pruning session.

• Synchronized AS-System Ecosystem: This is the only pole pruner in the world that shares the 10.8V AS 2 battery with the best-selling GTA 26 handheld pruner. If you already have the “shrub-pruner,” you already have the power source for this 15-foot reach specialist.

• Ambidextrous “Soft-Grip” Command Center: Unlike older pole saws with stiff plastic handles, the HTA 30 features a rubberized grip sleeve and a symmetrical locking mechanism, making it just as comfortable for left-handed operators as it is for right-handed ones.

• Integrated Rigid Branch Hook: The cutting head is equipped with a sturdy, reinforced hook designed specifically to pull down loose, “hung-up” branches from the canopy—preventing the need for a separate pole hook.

• Precision-Slim Cutting Head: The housing is exceptionally narrow, offering an unobstructed line-of-sight to the 20 cm (8″) guide bar. This allows for surgical accuracy when thinning out dense crowns or navigating tight branch forks.

• Constant Power Electronics: STIHL’s intelligent battery management ensures the motor maintains 100% cutting torque even as the battery nears the end of its charge, preventing the “stalling” common in generic cordless pruners.

• Protective Support Foot: A unique base stand protects the battery and housing from direct contact with mud and moisture when you set the tool down between cuts, significantly extending the life of the electric components.

For transport and storage, the telescopic shaft can be shortened from 280 centimetres to 190 centimetres, making the HTA 30 easy to carry and store away. The HTA 30 runs quietly and with low vibration, meaning you can work comfortably without hearing protection. A charge status indicator with LEDs lets you keep track of remaining battery power at a glance.
