Stihl GTA 30 Cordless Pruner Set

Step aside, single-cell trimmers; the STIHL GTA 30 has arrived to redefine the “mini-saw” category for serious Irish gardeners. While the legendary GTA 26 was built for light snips, the GTA 30 is a high-voltage evolution that demands two AS 2 batteries to unleash its 22V professional-grade torque. This isn’t just a size upgrade—it’s a performance beast featuring a longer 15 cm (6″) guide bar and a revolutionary automatic, spring-loaded chain tensioner that eliminates the need for manual wingnuts or tools. It bridges the gap between a handheld pruner and a full-sized chainsaw, allowing you to slice through thick branches up to 15 cm in diameter with the precision of a surgeon and the speed of a pro. If you’ve ever felt limited by the reach or power of standard garden pruners, the GTA 30 is the high-capacity, twin-battery solution that turns hours of laborious sawing into a effortless minutes.

• 22V Twin-Battery Architecture: The GTA 30 is the only handheld pruner in its class to utilize a dual-slot AS-System configuration. By drawing from two 10.8V batteries simultaneously, it delivers a constant, higher-wattage power flow that prevents stalling in dense oak or ash.

• Automatic Spring-Tensioning System: No more checking your chain tension every five minutes. The GTA 30 features a unique “fold-out and click” sprocket handle; simply rotate it 90 degrees and the internal spring mechanism sets the perfect tension automatically.

• IPX4 Weather-Resistant Rating: Unlike many generic battery pruners that must stay dry, the GTA 30 is officially rated for splash protection, making it safe for use in typical damp Irish conditions and light rain.

• Asymmetrical Safety Hood (90° Pivot): The protective guard is designed with a unique offset that shields your hand while providing a completely unobstructed view of the cutting line—and it folds back 90° so you can utilize the full 15cm bar length for deep cuts.

• Integrated Storage Ecosystem: The included hard-shell carry case doesn’t just hold the tool; it features a dedicated “Battery Management” bay with space for four batteries total, ensuring you can carry enough power for over 350+ cuts into the field.

• Pro-Grade ¼” Picco Micro 3 Chain: This isn’t a standard hobbyist chain. It’s the same diamond-ground architecture used on professional STIHL chainsaws, optimized for ultra-low vibration and a finish so clean it prevents fungal growth on the pruned tree.

• Dual-Hand Ergonomic Geometry: Specifically designed with a reinforced second-hand grip area on top of the housing, allowing you to apply downward pressure safely for faster slicing through stubborn logs or firewood.
