Stihl HSA 60 Cordless Hedgetrimmer

Break free from the limitations of entry-level cordless tools with the STIHL HSA 60, the most formidable hedge trimmer in the AK Battery Series. Specifically engineered for homeowners with extensive, woody hedging like laurel or beech, the HSA 60 bridges the gap between domestic convenience and professional “teardrop” cutting technology. While most battery trimmers snag on thick stems, the HSA 60 utilizes an anti-block braking system that automatically reverses the blade direction to clear stubborn jams instantly. With its massive 60 cm (24″) laser-cut, diamond-ground blade and a specialized rotating multi-function handle, this tool allows you to maintain a natural, ergonomic grip whether you are leveling the top of a 7-foot hedge or precision-shaping the sides. It is the ultimate “no-compromise” cordless solution for those who want gas-equivalent power without the noise, mixing, or maintenance.

• 90° Swivel Multi-Function Handle: Unlike fixed-grip trimmers, the rear handle on the HSA 60 rotates 90 degrees to the left or right. This puts your wrist in a neutral position for vertical cuts, drastically reducing arm pump and fatigue during long sessions.

• Patented “Teardrop” Blade Geometry: The blades aren’t just sharp; they are shaped with wide “droplet” recesses that trap and hold branches in the optimal cutting zone. This prevents twigs from slipping away, ensuring a clean, one-pass finish even on “slick” evergreens.

• Active Anti-Block System: If a thick branch stalls the blades, the intelligent electronics detect the resistance and instantly change the rotational direction. This self-clearing feature protects the high-efficiency EC motor and keeps you working without manual intervention.

• Integrated Cut Protection: The HSA 60 features a unique safety overlap where the housing extends over the cutting teeth, significantly reducing the risk of accidental contact with the user’s legs or body during awkward maneuvers.

• Whisper-Quiet 36V EC Motor: Designed for suburban peace, the brushless EC motor is so quiet it eliminates the need for ear protection, making it the perfect tool for early morning weekend work in noise-sensitive neighborhoods.

• Two-Stage Battery Locking: Features a “Neutral” safety position where the battery is secured for transport but not electrically engaged, and a “Drive” position for work—a critical safety layer for households with curious children.

• Standard Screw-On Tip Protector: Protect your investment. The reinforced tip protector allows you to trim right up against stone walls or pavement without dulling the blades or damaging the gearbox.
