Husqvarna 450 S Chainsaw

Husqvarna 450S: The New-Generation Heavyweight of Landowner Chainsaws

Step up to the Husqvarna 450S, the newly engineered “Landowner” powerhouse that bridges the gap between domestic convenience and professional forestry performance. This isn’t just an update; the “S” designation marks a significant leap in durability, featuring a patented hybrid crankcase that fuses metal and high-strength polymer for a lighter, more robust engine life. Built to dominate everything from felling medium-sized timber to processing a winter’s worth of firewood, the 450S houses a re-optimized 2.4 kW X-Torq® engine that delivers a massive 25% reduction in fuel consumption and 75% fewer emissions. With a reinforced design and a blistering chain speed of 18.5 m/s, the 450S is the ultimate choice for Irish estate owners who need a saw that won’t quit when the workload gets heavy.

• Hybrid Crankcase Architecture: A game-changer for durability; the 450S uses a specialized mix of metal and robust plastic in the crankcase to provide industrial-level longevity without the weight of a full-pro saw.

• Captured Bar Nut System: Never lose a nut in the woods again. The 450S features a retaining function that keeps the bar nuts attached to the clutch cover even when loosened—a professional feature now available for landowners.

• High-Output X-Torq® Optimization: The 50.2cc engine is tuned for a broader torque range, meaning the 450S maintains its cutting power even when the bar is fully buried in tough oak or ash.

• Refined Startability & Smart Start®: Engineered with a specialized starter cord and air purge system that reduces pulling resistance by up to 40%, ensuring a cold start on the first or second pull every time.

• Visible Colored Felling Marks: Integrated, permanent felling lines on the starter and clutch cover help you aim your cuts with surgical precision, a vital safety and accuracy feature for tree felling.

• Snap-Lock Cylinder Cover: Drastically reduces maintenance downtime. Access the spark plug and air filter in seconds without needing any tools, perfect for quick field cleaning.

• LowVib® Anti-Vibration System: Utilizing heavy-duty steel springs rather than rubber bushings, the 450S isolates the engine from the handles to spare your hands and arms during long days in the forest.
