Stihl HLA 56 Long reach Cordless Hedgetrimmer

The STIHL HLA 56 is the definitive solution for homeowners who want to retire the dangerous stepladder and reclaim control over their tallest hedges. As a standout in the AK Battery System, this long-reach trimmer offers a total length of 210 cm, allowing you to shape the tops of 10-foot boundaries with both feet safely on the ground. Unlike generic pole trimmers that feel top-heavy and unwieldy, the HLA 56 is engineered with a balanced motor-to-battery weight ratio, ensuring that even when fully extended, the tool remains easy to pivot and guide. Its specialized droplet-shaped blades aren’t just for show—they actively trap and pull branches into the cutting teeth, delivering a surgical finish that prevents the “shredded” look common with lower-quality corded units. If you’re looking for a whisper-quiet, zero-emission tool that makes vertical and overhead trimming feel like a walk in the garden, the HLA 56 is the professional’s secret for domestic perfection.

• 135° Tool-Free Articulating Head: The cutter bar adjusts from -45° to +90°, allowing you to switch from vertical face-trimming to flat-top sculpting with a single click—no tools or stopping required.

• Patented Droplet-Shaped Blades: The unique tooth geometry “hooks” the branches, holding them in place for the dual-reciprocating blades to provide a cleaner, healthier cut for your hedge.

• Instant-Split Detachable Shaft: Features a tool-less clamp that allows the machine to be split into two pieces (the longest being only 115 cm). This makes it the only long-reach trimmer that fits comfortably in the boot of a small car or on a standard garage shelf.

• Integrated Blade Tip Protector: A rugged guard at the end of the 45 cm blade allows you to trim right up against stone walls, pavements, or fences without damaging the cutting teeth.

• The “Zero-Noise” Advantage: At only 77 dB(A) at the operator’s ear, you can work on Sunday mornings or in noise-sensitive residential areas without needing ear protection or bothering the neighbors.

• Standard Wall Bracket Included: Every HLA 56 comes with a dedicated wall-mounting station, turning your tool into a tidy, vertical storage solution that keeps your shed organized.

• Extension Shaft Ready: For the truly towering estates, an optional 50 cm extension can be added, pushing your reach even further without compromising the tool’s structural integrity.
